Recently launched, Mendoza Architects, LLC is an architectural practice and consultancy firm based in New Haven, CT.  Founded by Jorge Mendoza, after having spent over 20 years at KPF as a Managing Principal and, prior to, with Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates. The firm is MBE certified and actively seeking certification in adjacent states.

Mendoza Architects is built around a highly collaborative process and client driven service stemming from the team’s global expertise executing ambitious and complex projects of various scales and mixes. Some notable projects are Vagelos Innovation Laboratories for Columbia University as NYC's first all-electric lab, Echelon Seaport residences in Boston, Channelside recognized as Boston’s new benchmark for urban, mixed-use development, Ciudad Grupo Santander multi-building campus in Spain and JK Square a premier mixed-use development in Sao Paolo branded by Westin.

Building on the team’s international experience, the firm’s skillset applies to a wide range of projects, multidisciplinary team structure and many building typologies that include research, academic, mixed-use, office, headquarters, residential, hospitality, civic, and renovation. Jorge E. Mendoza, AIA

Jorge E. Mendoza brings 30 years of global expertise in architectural design, management, and technical experience as the foundation for Mendoza Architects. He has led the design of many notable and multiple award-winning projects throughout the United States, Latin America, Asia, and Europe exceeding client expectations. In Boston, Jorge served as the market leader in his prior role, successfully navigating projects through the city’s rigorous approvals process including 3 of the city’s largest urban developments.

Jorge applies his leadership and abundant skillset to a wide range of projects and building types of various scales and mixes that include research, academic, mixed-use, office, high-rise, headquarters, residential, hospitality, civic, and renovation.

A seasoned architect and former Managing Principal at KPF, Jorge is adept in leading multidisciplinary teams in tight coordination across numerous consultants, stakeholders, public agencies and community groups. Jorge takes special initiative in delivering complex design solutions and innovation with QA/QC procedures, rigorous schedules and cost management.

Jorge received his Bachelor of Architecture with Honors from Pratt Institute and his Master of Architecture in Emerging Technology and Architectural Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He also studied abroad at the University of Copenhagen and Paris American Academy. Jorge is a licensed architect in NY, MA, CT, NJ, PA, FL, DC, DE and RI and an active member of the AIA, NCARB and NOMA.
