The first purpose-built, all-electric academic research lab building in New York City meeting Columbia’s Plan 2030 climate goals. An 8-story biomedical research and lab facility with symposium and community engagement spaces. The renovation project interconnects with the existing Russ Berrie Medical Science Pavilion and Columbia University School of Nursing to create a seamless circulation. It features a high-performance façade with an optimized window to wall ratio to minimize solar heat gain and glare.
